‘Tribute To Our Champions’ : DIMO-MRF Tyre Channel Partner Convention 2015
DIMO organized a Channel partner convention for MRF Truck and Bus Tyre sales partners on 6th and 7th of June 2015. The top channel partners & their families of MRF Truck and Bus Tyres across the country, were invited and hosted at the Jetwing Beach Hotel, Negombo whilst the gala convention and awards ceremony took place at the Jetwing Blue Hotel, Negombo.
The convention was graced by Mr Ranjith Pandithage, Mr Channa Weerawardane, Mr Suresh Gooneratne, Mr Sarath Algama, Mr Krishantha Peiris (MRF Residence Manager) and several members of the GMC of DIMO. All channel partners and their families were given MRF branded T-shirts and MRF Junior Fan T-shirts for the children. The event kicked off with the “ගමේ කඩේ” (Game Kade) concept where the invitees were given a different experience to taste traditional food and drinks. The Channel Partners then gathered for a group photo and were then escorted by Nadro drummers to the Jetwing Blue Ballroom to the Award Ceremony. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Mr Ranjith Pandithage, (Chairman & Managing director – DIMO) Speaking at the occasion Mr Pandithage highlighted the importance of selling high quality tyres such as MRF Truck and Bus Tyres ensuring the safety of the passengers. Also he highlighted the exceptional after sales services instigated by DIMO for all the customers.
Out of the top 50 partners, the top ten partners were awarded with a return ticket to Switzerland while the rest of the forty dealers were awarded with a return ticket to Singapore. The ceremony was colourful and extravagant with singing by Soul Sounds, dancing by Prashadi and comedian acts making the event more interesting. The leading musical band “Waayo” made the evening, one not to be forgotten.
On Sunday, channel partners and their families got the opportunity to get involved with games and activities. There were competitions for the kids and the adults where everyone actively took part. Many gifts were given away to children, wives and gents. The highlight of the day was the MRF Tyre rolling competition – where channel partners underwent a tough physical challenge to roll MRF tyres a distance of 50m. Bouncing castles and body painting were also arranged for kids. A special cookery demonstration was also carried out by the Head Chef of the Jetwing Blue Hotel. The two-day event came to a conclusion with giving away of MRF souvenir mugs for the channel partners as they checked out from the hotel after Lunch. The top 50 dealers and families were given a memorable experience by DIMO during the two-day program.
